A listed Historical Monument, the Castle of the dukes of Brittany - monument and collections - is property of the City of Nantes.

The local public company Le Voyage à Nantes assures, within the framework of a delegation of public service, the management of the site in all its dimensions: scientific, cultural, technical and tourist.
The shareholding of this one is mainly detained by Nantes Métropole (72 %).
The City of Nantes participates at the level of 18 %, The Department of Loire-Atlantique 5 % and the Region of Pays de la Loire 5 %.
